Ferry pilot pictures
I was doing a little housekeeping on the old computer, archiving some files and this and that, and I decided to upload some of my ferry flight pictures from 2010.
Most of these were taken during Atlantic crossings, aircraft delivery flights to Europe. I think I’m a better pilot than picture-taker, but these give some idea of the wild and beautiful scenery I get to fly over as ferry pilot during North-Atlantic ferry flights.

Are you required to wear the immersion suit while flying? Or were you just trying it on?
There’s some debate between wearing the suit while you’re flying or not. In a single engine airplane, if you ever had an emergency, I don’t think you could realistically put the suit on in the airplane while dealing with the emergency at the same time. The suit is quite cumbersome and not something you could easily put on in a small cockpit.
Before the overwater legs, I put the immersion suit on before I get into the plane, but once I’m seated I take my arms out so the suit is on all the way up to my waist. This gives me enough freedom of movement to comfortably fly the airplane, and if I ever had to put it on during an emergency, all I’d have to do is put my arms in and zip up the suit.
